Nortel is integrating IBM’s WebSphere Presence and Group List Enabler software, and in turn, IBM will use Nortel’s VoIP and fixed mobile convergence applications in its carrier solutions.

As part of the new agreement IBM and Nortel will leverage their current IMS developer and interoperability testing programs to speed up development of new apps and services, such as IP security/surveillance and enterprise business applications with “click-to-call capabilities,” according to the release.
