Managed Method’s JaxView teams up with Parasoft SOAtest suite

Managed Methods, the supplier of JaxView tools for visibility into Web Services operations, announced a strategic integration with Parasoft SOATest, the leading provider of automated solutions and infrastructure services that improve software quality and the development process.

JaxView offers a wide range of functionality to meet the needs of companies delivering web services, including policy enforcement. Policies that are created by organizations, to express the expectations of a service through its lifecycle, need to be enforced. Architects, developers and IT operations managers working with Web services in production need to understand when policies’ expectations are not met, to make design time changes. With it’s policy enforcement functionality, JaxView now has the ability to incorporate the runtime data it collects and generate testing files within Parasoft SOATest. This incorporation can not only be done for a single web service, but an entire transaction, completing the fluid cycle of SOA quality and delivery. The products can also be integrated through policies generated during design and test using Parasoft SOATest can then be automatically enforced at runtime by JaxView.

“SOA quality is a process and not a task.” said Wayne Ariola, VP of Strategy Parasoft. “ Companies that use web services or have a service oriented architecture, need to insure that those services are secure, reliable, compliant and managed”.

“The production runtime data in JaxView offers the knowledge that organizations need to constantly be improving the quality of their services during design time.” said Julie Cobb, Director of Sales at Managed Methods.
