AccuRev Inc. today announced that Syscon Justice Systems, the world
leader in Offender and Community Corrections Management software, has
standardized worldwide on AccuRev® for process-centric software
configuration management (SCM). Syscon Justice anticipates increasing
their overall development productivity by 30 percent and obtaining a
complete return on investment within six months.
AccuRev and AccuReplica™
were selected by Syscon Justice Systems to improve collaboration among
global development teams and enhance artifact traceability and
reproducibility within its parallel development process for the TAG
Offender Management System (OMS). TAG is the most widely-used COTS OMS
in the world and the software platform for the entire prison and
probation management system in England and Wales. Syscon Justice
Systems required an SCM tool that could more efficiently manage the
multitude of parallel development created by customer change order
customizations requested from state, county and community correctional
facilities. Additionally, its previous file-based SCM tool did not
offer the productivity benefits that improved collaboration and
integrated issue-tracking offer its global development centers across
three continents.
Randy Roesler,
Engineering Manager, Syscon Justice Systems commented, "Our Federal,
State and County government clients often require that their individual
business processes be built into our OMS software demanding a
high-level of customization to fit their particular needs. With over
800 customizable screens and forms in our product, AccuRev was the only
SCM system that demonstrated the ability to efficiently handle this
level of change and offer us the ability to improve global development
collaboration at a low total cost of ownership."
AccuRev will be used by
developers, subject matter experts (business analysts), quality
assurance (QA) engineers, and marketing documentation staff within
Syscon Justice System?s Visual Studio and Oracle development
environment.
