Working as a member of applications development team Lead programmer/Analyst SOA Architect will provide technical leadership across various Walgreens IT projects. This individual will act as an expert in architectural design, business requirements, and production deployment in guiding project teams on key technological decisions, architectural standards and best practices. Will support, and standardize usage of ESB, messaging technologies & platform, integration technologies, and related SOA concepts. Will participate in design and development of components, services, standards and methods that constitute Walgreens SOA architecture.
Ability to lead and mentor small to medium size teams of architects and developers. Must have first hand experience with software development lifecycle, object-oriented analysis and design, high competency in Java/Web application design and development. Must have a firm understanding of such concepts and technologies as SOA, Messaging, Transformation Engines, Web Services, and Data Integration techniques. Strong verbal and written communication skills including ability to articulate complex technical information in a clear, concise manner. Self-motivated and well-organized problem solver - must approach problems and issues in a logical/systemic manner, research issues to the lowest level and resolve them decisively. Must be proficient in creating technical documents such as tutorials, manuals, and guidelines. Strong presentation skills are required.
Must be able to present architectural solutions as visual models in the form of diagrams, charts, and graphs.
Candidate should be able to work closely with business users, external consultants, Walgreens developers, offshore developers, other project stakeholders to understand key functional and nonfunctional requirements, identify project needs, evaluate available architectural options, assess risks, convey architecture recommendations and drive resolution of issues. Qualifications - Software architect with minimum 7-8 years of experience in software development/implementation, solution & architecture designing in technology areas of Java, J2EE, Web Services and Middleware - Solid experience with architecting, managing and tuning ESB solutions involving IBM Message Broker 6.1, MQSeries 6.0, and WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX), J2EE, design/implementation of cluster and distributed/high availability systems
WebSphere Message Broker Qualified candidate will be responsible for Message Broker architect/ development for the implementation of WebSphere Message Broker (WMB). Configuration, technical archictect, integration, testing and deployment of the WMB components. Lead Message Broker developers and provide leadership and best practices guidance for WebSphere MQ and Message Broker architect and development. Overall responsibility for establishing reusable design patterns in flow and message modeling. Develop complex foundational message flows, including collection, file integration, complex transformation scenarios. Job Duty 1 - Design and Develop integration solutions using WMB. Job Duty 2- WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX) development experience Job Duty 3- Data Architecture Job Duty 4 - Oracle development (e.g, EBS 11i, ESQL)
- Proficient with software development using JMS, XML interfaces, web services development using Java, C, and ESQL, . - Hands-on experience with integration and interface development at an architect level, particularly using the IBM Message Broker, and MQSeries. - Good communication and business analysis skills - Be able to work in cross-functional teams as a technical lead which will involve development and design through testing and post go-live production support, and technical troubleshooting. Must be a self-starter, able to work in a team environment as well as independently. Coordination among team members and members of other departments to gather requirements and guide system designs. Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and assignments. Ability to quickly apply newly acquired skills and technologies into systems designs. - Drive the technological delivery of the project working in tandem with the Project Manager so as to ensure that all development/deployment/QA are in conformance with the design, strategy, timeliness, and budget. Highlight risks and gaps to the project manager and ensure technological mitigations / options. - Set processes and/or systems along with project manager to build the project environment. - Lead and/or groom and/or mentor the developers to take key responsibilities.
